To all RAHA members:

We are excited to announce that Top Shelf Hockey (the Pro Shop at the Winter Garden) will host our Pro Shop Day for this coming season. All orders will be processed by Top Shelf Hockey shop and all orders will be available for pick up in the shop at Winter Garden Arena. Ridgefield Lions Pro Shop Day will be Tuesday, July 17, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The group breakdown is as follows:

  • Mites: 4;00-4:45 p.m.
  • Squirts: 4:45-5:30 p.m.
  • Peewees: 5:30-6:15 p.m.
  • Bantams: 6:15-7:00 p.m.

If you are unable to attend during your age group’s time frame, you may come any time between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.

Ridgefield Lions spirit wear along with your equipment needs for the season, such as helmets, gloves, shells, and game socks, will be available for sizing. Top Shelf will be available to answer any equipment questions or concerns you might have. Please stop by to check out our new spirit wear offerings, be fitted for Bauer warm-up suits, try on sample clothing, or place any custom orders. We will also offer online ordering, starting July 17. The Pro Shop will be open during Pro Shop Day for your summer hockey needs, including tape, laces, and skate sharpening.

All orders that are placed in person on July 17, or online by July 19, will be delivered to the Top Shelf shop by Tuesday, September 4, for pick-up.

This year’s Spirit Wear offerings include

  • Lions flex fit hat
  • Lions winter hat
  • Lions tee shirts
  • Lions Bauer hooded sweatshirts
  • Lions long-sleeve training shirts and athletic shorts — great for off-ice training!
  • Lions flannel pajama pants
  • Lions equipment bags
  • Lions Bauer warm-up suits
  • Lions backpacks — perfect for back-to-school and overnight trips!

The Spirit Wear shop will offer special pricing for pre-season starter pack, which includes a Lions backpack, tee shirt and hat.

Frequently asked questions about Spirit Wear
Are Bauer warm-up suits part of the RAHA uniform?

Bauer warm-up suits are part of the RAHA uniform for all players at the Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam level. They are recommended but not required at the Mite level. The jacket and pants are top quality and will have your player’s name and number embroidered on them, along with the Lions logo.

I can’t make it to Pro Shop Day on July 17. How can my player be fitted for a warm-up suit?
Please consult a Bauer Apparel sizing chart. Alternatively, you can contact TJ directly at (203) 232-8502 or tjtopshelf@gmail.com

Help! I missed the July 19 cut-off for orders!
We will have a second ordering window in September. Orders placed in September will be delivered in early November, in time for the Can/Am tournament and holiday gift-giving.

I would like to have the Lions logo added to apparel that I already own. Can you do that?
TJ can add logos, names and numbers to shirts, sweatshirts, and other items, for a nominal fee. Also, if you would like to arrange a bulk order of customized Lions gear (for example, a special shirt for your team), TJ can help you out.

We look forward to seeing you at Pro Shop Day on July 17. Go Lions!

Please order uniforms June 16-July 1

We are pleased to continue our partnership with Wesco Sports for our uniforms for the upcoming season. We are working together to improve our product offering and timely delivery of our players’ required uniform items.

Please bring your player to the Brookfield Wesco (270 Federal Road) between Saturday, June 16, and Sunday, July 1, any time during regular store hours so he or she can be fitted for their uniform jerseys for the coming season. This is a hard deadline, as we must order all equipment by early July in order to ensure its delivery by mid-August.

If your child’s uniform jerseys form last season still fit, you do not need to order a new set. However, if you are new to the program, or your child has outgrown the previous set, please go to Wesco for a fitting. Samples will be on hand for sizing. Do not base your child’s size on his or her previous jersey size; we are transitioning to a new jersey supplier and sizes will vary from the previous company. Your player should bring his or her shoulder pads to ensure the proper fit. If a player is between sizes, we encourage you to “size up.” Wesco will also be taking orders for the uniform pants, shell and socks, as well as any other gear, such as customized gloves or helmets.

The Ridgefield Lions game uniform comprises the following:

  • Two Ridgefield Lions jerseys (one white, one black) with player’s name and number - $130 for set of two jerseys
  • Bauer pants shell in black with Ridgefield Lions logo - $40
  • Two pairs of CCM socks (one white, one black) with coordinating yellow stripes. This is a change from the Bauer socks that players have worn in previous years, as Bauer has discontinued that design. - $22/pair
  • Black or black/gold helmet with full cage
  • Black or black/gold gloves
  • Black hockey pants

In addition, players are expected to wear the following equipment for all games and practices:

  • Shin pads, shoulder pads, elbow pads
  • Neck guard
  • Mouth guard
  • Skates

Helmet stickers (player number and “Lions”) and practice jerseys will be distributed in September. You do not need to order these.

In the coming days, we will provide ordering information for Ridgefield Lions track suits, hockey bags, off-ice shirts and shorts, and other spirit wear apparel.
