2017-2018 Bantam Team Selections

To all parents of registered Bantam players,

RAHA has made its Bantam team selections for the 2017-18 season. We want to thank Bantam players and families for their participation in the tryout process.

Please find your child’s team assignment on the list below, by pinnie number:

AA Team:  13, 21, 23, 25, 26, 27, 38, 41, 54, 56, 65, 70, 73, 87, 90

A Team:  3, 6, 8, 9, 15, 17, 28, 34, 42, 44, 47, 59, 62, 81, 82, 92, 93

A1 Team:  7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 22, 29, 30, 32, 35, 57, 58, 78, 79, 88, 91

Please know that much time and effort went into these team selections. Every decision was made in an effort to place each player in a position that would allow him or her to grow their individual skills (both hockey and personal) and to ultimately grow and strengthen the RAHA program for years to come. Due to the number of players who tried out, we did not have enough players to fill four teams. We regret that we were not able to offer roster positions to all players who tried out.

If you have questions about your child’s placement or the team itself, please contact Eric Presbrey ( ) or Tom McNicholas ( ). If you would like to decline your spot, please let Eric and/or Tom know by 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, and we will destroy your deposit check or return it to you. This is a hard deadline. Otherwise, the $1,500 check will be applied to your tuition balance.

For those who accept their position in the groups above, in the next few weeks you will receive a welcome email and communication from RAHA. You’ll also be invited to consider volunteering for the important position of team manager or scheduler. Additionally, players who are new to RAHA will also be asked to choose a number to wear on their jersey and receive information about ordering their jerseys (approximately $200 per set). There will also be RAHA Lions spirit wear items available for purchase.

You will also be invited to attend RAHA’s annual meeting, to be held on April 26. RAHA will also provide you with a number of forms to complete, including a Consent to Treat form, a Code of Conduct form, and a Parents’ Code of Conduct form. Practices will begin for all teams in late August or early September. We hope to communicate the exact dates and schedule very soon.

2017-2018 PeeWee Team Selections

To parents of registered Pee Wee players, Thank you for your participation in the 2017-18 Pee Wee tryout process. We were extremely pleased with the enthusiastic turnout we witnessed at the Pee Wee level, but with that level of interest comes the unfortunate reality that we could not offer every player a position on one of our travel teams for the 2017-18 season. For those players not offered a spot, we encourage you to keep working hard and we hope to see you back again next year.

Please find your child’s team assignment on the list below, by pinnie number:

AA Team: 1, 2, 9, 27, 28, 42, 44, 62, 65, 68, 73, 76, 83, 85

A Team: 3, 5, 10, 11, 17, 18, 20, 23, 25, 29, 34, 41, 59, 81, 87

A1 Team: 4, 13, 19, 22, 24, 26, 32, 35, 38, 54, 56, 64, 78, 90, 91

B Team: 6, 7, 39, 47, 55, 58, 60, 74, 82, 84, 86, 88, 89, 92, 93

Please know that much time and consideration went into these team selections. In an effort to place each player in a position that would allow him or her to grow their individual skills (both hockey and personal), and to ultimately grow and strengthen the RAHA program for years to come, all decisions were made carefully.

If you would like to decline your spot, please let us know within 24 hours, and we will destroy your deposit check. For those who accept their position in the groups above, the $1,500 check will be applied to your tuition balance.

In the next few weeks, you will receive a welcome email and communications from RAHA, including:

• Information on important volunteer positions for your team: team manager and scheduler.

• An invitation to attend RAHA’s annual meeting, to be held in late April.

• Requisite forms, including Consent to Treat, Player Code of Conduct, and Parents’ Code of Conduct.

• New RAHA Players will also be asked to choose a number to wear on their jersey and will receive information about ordering their jerseys (approximately $200 per set).

There will also be RAHA Lions spirit wear items available for purchase.

Practices will begin for all teams in late August or early September. We hope to communicate exact dates and schedule very soon.

If you have questions about your child’s placement, or the team itself, please contact Jeff MacDonald (jmacdonald@ridgefieldhockey.org) or Andrew Greeley (greeleya@ridgefieldhockey.org).

Have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you on the ice when the season starts! Go Lions!
